WilmU's Nevins & Dominican's Decker & Colon Earn ABCA Division II All-America Honors

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (June 5, 2019) -- Wilmington University's Eddie Nevins, and Dominican College's Justin Decker and Joshua Colon earned Division II All-America honors from the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA), as announced this weekend by the national association. Nevins (INF) and Decker (2B) earned second-team accolades, while Colon (SS) earned third-team status.

The three ABCA All-America honorees from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) were the most from the three East Region conferences (CACC, ECC, NE10).

Nevins, the ABCA East Region Player of the Year, batted .440 with eight home runs and 62 runs batted in, while Decker batted .359 with four homers and 51 runs knocked in. Both student-athletes earned First-Team All-CACC honors this season, while Nevins also collected the CACC Player-of-the-Year Award. He also became the second-consecutive CACC standout to be named the consensus East Region Player of the Year, as Nevins locked up honors from the ABCA, NCBWA and D2CCA.

Colon batted just under .400 this season (.395) with three home runs, 51 RBI, 46 runs scored and 12 stolen bases.
