NEW HAVEN, CT - The Dominican College and Post University baseball teams are both ranked according to the first NCAA Division II East Region poll of the season, which was released today. The Chargers received the top spot in the poll. 

This is the first #1 NCAA regional ranking for the Dominican baseball program and skipper Rick Giannetti.

"I think it is a great accomplishment for the school and the program.  Hopefully, this is something we can build off of as the season progresses," Giannetti said.

DC is currently 21-9 after a 10-0 victory over Post on Tuesday, which improved its Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) record to 10-5. The Chargers also hold wins over #3 UMass-Lowell and #4 Franklin Pierce University this season.

Post is seventh in the poll and is currently 17-10 overall and 7-6 in the CACC.
