CACC Notes

Bloomfield - Saturday's double-header sweep of Dominican marked Bloomfield's first victory over the Chargers since 2004. Alberto Ruiz went 7-10 with six RBI's in the series, and Steve Godowski picked up his second win of the season, pitching a complete game with five strikeouts in game two. Brad Smith picked up his first collegiate win and Anderson Perez knocked his first collegiate home run this past Saturday. Ricky Maldonado hit three doubles in his first four at-bats of the first game of the double-header on Saturday. The Deacons return to CACC play against Felician on Tuesday.

Felician - Senior RF Mike Libretta has been hit by 12 pitches in 23 games. Libretta set the school record of 13 last season. No Golden Falcon pitcher has more than two of the team's 12 victories. Junior LHP Danny Conti has already pitched more innings (33 2/3) than he did all of last season (25), when he was 1-3 with a 7.56 ERA. He is currently 1-1 with a 1.07 ERA.

Philadelphia - The Rams have five games this week, including four CACC match-ups against Chestnut Hill and Caldwell. The team looks to rebound after suffering some early conference loses. The pitching for the Rams has kept them in games, so look for the staff to carry the Rams through the week and into the weekend for a three-game match-up vs. Caldwell on April 3 and 4.

USP - USP won its first CACC conference game of the season with an 8-3 win over regionally ranked Wilmington University. The Devils as a team batted .316 this week, all against conference foes.
