Felician Announces New Department Hires

RUTHERFORD, N.J. (August 30, 2019) – Brandon Nakrin of Oyster Bay, N.Y., has been named the head strength & conditioning coach and Brandon Schiesser of Philadelphia, Pa., has been chosen the coordinator of internal athletics operations at Felician University, Felician director of athletics Ben "JR" DiNallo announced today.

Both spots are new stand-alone full-time positions at Felician. The strength & conditioning role was elevated from part-time status, and internal operations was created from an athletics department restructuring.

Nakrin takes over responsibility for the strength & conditioning needs of all 14 of the Golden Falcons' varsity intercollegiate programs. He has served two stints as an assistant strength & conditioning coach at Adelphi University, and in between, spent a semester in a similar role at Division-I Iona College. From 2013-17, he was a strength & conditioning specialist for the player development program at the United States Tennis Academy.

Nakrin possesses a B.S. degree in sports management from Nichols College, conferred in 2011. He began his professional career as a volunteer at Hofstra University while earning an M.S. in sports science with a concentration in strength & conditioning, which he completed in 2013.

Schiesser will coordinate home gameday operations and oversee all aspects of team travel for the Golden Falcons. He was most recently the athletics operations director for Olympus Sports Prep Academy in Williamstown, N.J. He spent the spring 2018 semester as an athletics facilities and operations intern at Division-I La Salle University, and the following academic year as an athletics operations supervisor at the Division-I University of Pennsylvania.

Scheisser is a 2019 graduate of Temple University. He earned a B.S. degree in sport and recreation management with a concentration in event leadership.

Both men will begin their new jobs on Tuesday, September 3.

Felician is a member of NCAA Division II. The Golden Falcons will start their 24th year of varsity intercollegiate athletics in September.
