NEW HAVEN, Conn. (August 15, 2019) -- The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) and its 14-member institutions are excited to once again be hosting the CACC Championship Festival, as the 2020 event will be held from April 30 - May 3, at Georgian Court University in Lakewood, N.J. The Festival will feature five CACC Championships, including softball, men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse, men's outdoor track & field and women's outdoor track & field. The announcement of the 2020 Festival was made on Thursday by CACC Commissioner Dan Mara.

The event begins on Wednesday, April 29, with the championship banquets for both softball and men's lacrosse, and the competition begins the next day on Thursday, April 30, with the men's lacrosse semifinals and day one of the softball tournament. Ten (10) games in all will be staged on the opening day, while the women's lacrosse championship banquet will be staged that night following the completion of competition.

Friday will feature day two of the softball championship, along with the women's lacrosse semifinals. Saturday will feature the championship finals in men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse and softball.

There is a new format for the men's and women's track & field championships, as both events will be moved from a one-day meet to a two-day competition. A small number of events (runs, jumps, throws) will be held on Saturday afternoon following the completion of the lacrosse championships, and then the remaining events will be contested on Sunday.

Various events throughout the week will also be held to celebrate the Championship Festival. More information on those events, along with starting times for games, will be announced at a later date during the 2019-20 season.
