CACC Announces 2012-2013 Winter All-Academic Teams

NEW HAVEN, Conn.  – The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) has introduced its All-Academic Team for the 2012-13 winter athletic season today. A total of 30 student-athletes from the 14 conference schools have earned a place on the list.

Six student-athletes were named to the team for the third time in their careers, including Caldwell College’s Gillian Felix; Holy Family University’s Kelly Brady; Philadelphia University’s Taylor Peltzer and Kristen Blye; University of the Sciences’ Carolyn Edwards and Wilmington University’s Amanda Walters. Nine others student-athletes were repeat selections including: Bloomfield College’s Kevin Udo; Caldwell’s Gillian Felix; Dominican College’s Johnathan Brown; Holy Family’s Katie Duma, Carolyne Hestone and Mary Ellen McCollum; Philadelphia U.’s Megan Finn; Post University’s Raven Wright-James and USciences’ Elsebeth Birman.   

In order to be named to the CACC All-Academic team, recipients must have participated in a CACC-Championship sport in the winter. They must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have been a student-athlete at their current school for at least two semesters, and have achieved a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.50 or higher through the winter semester.
