BLOOMFIELD, N.J. – Bloomfield College men's soccer team saw their home opener at Foley Field end in a, 1-0 setback against The College of Saint Rose Wednesday night. The non-conference match-up left the Bears (0-2-1) still searching for their first win of 2022 while the Golden Knights improved to 3-1 with their third consecutive win of the season.
The visitors controlled the tempo of the contest, manufacturing a 12-7 shot advantage, which included an 8-4 differential in shots on goal, and recorded 11 corners to the home team's four.
Junior keeper,
Jomar Vizcaino (New Bruinswick, NJ) recorded five of his seven stops throughout the second stanza to keep Bloomfield within striking distance. Marvin Munoz (Neptune, NJ) showed the most promise with two shots on target for the Bears in front of the home crowd.
Bloomfield will look ahead now to getting their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference slate underway with a 3:30 pm meeting at Goldey-Beacom College on Saturday.
