TITUSVILLE, FLA. - Gabby Citriniti (Corning, N.Y.) drove in a single run in the top of the 6th inning but the Bears watched the Scots of Lyon College slide past for a 6-1 decision on Sunday afternoon in Titusville, Fla. at the Chain of Lakes Park Field 7. The setback evened Bloomfield's record at 3-3 as junior Kirsten Wilson (Beaver Falls, P.A.) suffered her first loss on the mound in 2016. The Scots improved to 11-6 on the year with the win and pitcher Nicole Sanders recorded her 7th decision of the season.

Lyon jumped out to a 3-0 advantage in the second and never looked back after a lead off walk started the inning against Bloomfield. The Scots pushed across three more runs in the bottom of the sixth frame to ice the contest. The Bears managed just two hits for the afternoon and surrendered two errors in the game that resulted in three unearned runs.
 
Faith Apolskis (Soquel, Calif.) went 1-of-2 for the game with a double and a strikeout. The junior third baseman also recorded an error in the sixth inning.
 
Wilson pitched a complete game, giving up nine hits and three earned runs while fanning three and walking three. The Bears ace also hit one batter to fill out the scoresheet.
 
Bloomfield will be back in action tomorrow with three games slated for Monday. First up, a doubleheader with the Panthers of Claflin University starting at 12:00 pm and then an evening nightcap against the Eagles of Judson University, slated for a 6:00 pm first pitch.
