BLOOMFIELD, NJ – The Bears used a red-hot 1^st quarter to distance themselves from visiting Concordia College and eventually secured a, 77-48 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) victory Tuesday evening. Bloomfield shot a blistering season-high, 72.2 percent shooting from the floor in the opening frame to improve to 11-9 on the season and slid into 1^st place in the CACC North division by a half game with an 11-2 mark.
 
Zhane Robinson (Newark, NJ) led the way with 22 points on 10-of-15 shooting and added 8 boards while turning away two Clippers shots. Bobbi Floyd (Las Vegas, NV) turned in her first double-double of the season with 14 points to go along with 10 rebounds and Deja McKenzie (Baltimore, MD) rounded out Bloomfield's top scorers with 10 points.
 
The Clippers (3-19, 3-10 CACC) fell behind 8-0 from the opening tip and never recovered as Bloomfield enjoyed a 27-9 first quarter lead and never looked back. The Home team took a 42-28 advantage into the locker room for halftime with Robinson netting 14 of her total points in the half.
 
Floyd had a balanced game across the final two quarters, posting 6 of her points and 6 of her boards as the Bears were unstoppable down the stretch. First year head coach Vanessa Watson had Bloomfield clicking on all cylinders and finding their stride into first place at the right time of the year.

The Bears now ride a six-game winning streak down the Turnpike to face Wilmington University on Saturday. The CACC contest against the Wildcats is set for a 1:00 pm tip-off on Feb. 3^rd.
