BLOOMFIELD UPSET AT HOME AS DEVILS TAKE, 72-63 CACC QUARTERFINAL WIN

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (February 27, 2018) -- South No. 4 seed University of the Sciences scored the highlight of Tuesday's quarterfinals of the 2017-18 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Basketball Championship, as the Devils knocked off North No. 1 and overall No. 1 seed Bloomfield College 72-63. It was part of a night that saw three of the South Division teams earn victories to advance to this weekend's semifinals.

USciences will face South No. 2 Jefferson, as the Rams survived a spirited rally by Caldwell University (North #3) in a 75-70 triumph. Goldey-Beacom (South #1) scratched out an 87-80 victory over Felician University (North #4), as the Lightning will face North #2 Dominican College in the semis, after the Chargers handed Wilmington University (South #3) an 86-57 setback on Tuesday.

Goldey-Beacom and Dominican will square off in Saturday's first men's semifinal at 5 p.m., while USciences and Jefferson will renew their Philadelphia rivalry at 7 p.m. The semis and the championship final will be staged at the Gallagher Center on the campus of Jefferson this weekend.
