DENVER, Colo. – The Bloomfield College men's basketball team suffered an 82-74 defeat against the Rangers from Regis University Friday evening as Bloomfield traveled to the 'Mile High' city for two Thanksgiving Weekend matchups.
Safee Abdus-Sabur (Newark, N.J.) led the way for the Bears offense off the bench with 17 points on 5-for-12 shooting from the floor.

How It Happened
- The Bears watched the Rangers storm out to an 11-2 lead to open up the game
- Bloomfield chipped away at the host's lead and drew within one (18-17) on a three-ball from freshman guard Dontay Julius (Linden, N.J.)
- Abdus-Sabur dropped another shot from beyond the arc on the very next possession that gave his team their first lead of the contest, 20-18
- The Bears built an 8-point advantage (29-21) before Regis surged back and closed the opening half down 30-28
- Regis was determined to regain the lead after they break as they launched 4 3-pointers within the first sixty-five seconds of the second frame
- The teams traded baskets back and for before the Rangers claimed the advantage for the last time after a 61-61 tie with 6:12 to go on the clock and sparked a 12-1 run that ultimately put the game out of reach
- Nick Davidson (Lumberton, N.J.) and Rakwan Kelly (Newark, N.J.) joined Julius in the double-digit scoring column on the starters side of the ball while Robert Lewis (Jersey City, N.J.) narrowly missed a double-double, going 6-for-7 from the field for 12 points and 9 boards in twenty-four minutes of action
