BEARS REMAIN UNDEFEATED IN LEAGUE PLAY AFTER, 88-86 WIN IN BRONXVILLE

BRONXVILLE, NY – The Bears men's basketball team secured a gritty, 88-86 victory over Concordia College on the road Saturday afternoon. The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division battle at the Meyer Athletic Center improved Bloomfield to a perfect 6-0 in league play and 11-3 overall while the Clippers were left still winless in conference play (0-6) and 5-9 overall on the year.
 
Senior Nick Davidson (Lumberton, NJ) had a solid day at the office with a game-high 19 points to go along with 8 rebounds. The Bears leading scorer on the year went 8-of-15 from the field and 3-of-3 from the free-throw line. Bloomfield enjoyed four starters in double-figures on the day and sophomore Dontay Julius (Linden, NJ) came off the bench to clip Concordia for 14 points in twenty-five minutes of work.
 
The visitors outscored the home team by one-point in each half for the two point victory. The Bears took a 37-36 lead into the half-time break after a layup by Kavione Green (Amityville, NY). The Clippers had a shot to win it all at the buzzer of the second half but a last-second three-pointer missed its mark and Bloomfield maintained their unblemished record in conference play.
 
The Bears next action Wednesday evening when they host USciences for an inter-divisional showdown at The Den. The Devils enter the contest tied for first place in the CACC South Division and are eager to square off witht the top team in the North at 7:30 pm.
