ORANGEBURG, N.Y. – The Bears women's basketball team went on the road Saturday afternoon and picked up their third consecutive Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) win with a, 75-54 decision over Dominican College. The battle on Coach Baxter Court in Orangeburg featured senior guard
Tianna Smith (Spring Valley, N.Y) who led all scorers with 18 points while dishing out four assists and her classmate,
Morgan Taylor (Paterson, N.J.) who contributed 13 points and 3 assists. Junior forward,
Zhane Robinson (Newark, N.J.), also scored in double-figures with 10 points while
Deja McKenzie (Baltimore, M.D.) came off the bench with a season-high 11 boards to go along with 8 points.

How It Happened
- The Bears battled with Dominican back and forth in the opening quarter and when the dust settled, the visitors held a slim 22-19 edge
- The Bloomfield squad used a 16-2 advantage in points in the paint during the second quarter to secure a 44-27 lead at the break and distance themselves from the Chargers
- A 6-0 edge in second chance points during the third quarter allowed the CACC North Division undefeated team to add to their point margin as the period ended, 59-38
- The ferocious Bears defense forced 22 Dominican turnovers and the visitors converted them into 24 points on the afternoon
- Bloomfield used a collective effort to put away the Chargers as ten players made it into the scorebook including Bobbi Floyd (Las Vegas, N.V.) who went a perfect, 4-for-4 from the field and snagged 5 rebounds
Up Next: Bloomfield will hibernate for a week before welcoming a regional non-conference opponent in the Panthers of Adelphi University. The Bears, riding their three-game win streak, are set to battle Adelphi at 1:30 pm on Sunday at the Bloomfield Gym.
