How It Happened
  • Bloomfield wasted very little time and jumped in front 13-2 to start the opening half. The Bears extended to a fifteen-point lead (25-10) after five consecutive points from Nick Davidson (Lumberton, N.J.) with a little over eleven minutes on the clock. The visitors' advantage ballooned to 42-17 with 3:49 to go before the halftime break
  • The Lions struggled to find offensive production while Bloomfield saw close to half of the shots they tossed up go thru the net with nine players etching their names in the scorers column for a, 50-27 advantage at intermission. Fleming and Williams each had 10 points heading into the locker room and Rakwan Kelly (Newark, N.J.) had snagged 8 rebounds before the halftime buzzer
  • GCU began the 2nd half with a three pointer, but that was about the only bright spot for the home squad with Bloomfield continuing to shoot over forty percent from the field and holding the Lions at bay on the scoreboard
  • Carlos Marrero Simon (Gran Canaria, Spain) scored his first points of the season and buried a three-pointer in the final frame before ending his day with a career-high, seven points. Davidson finished his day with 11 points and 7 rebounds while Kelly posted his 7th double-double of the year, recording 10 points and 12 boards to help the Bloomfield cause

Up Next: The Bears will hibernate with a week off before travelling to Holy Family University next Saturday for a 3:00 pm showdown with the Tigers.
