Box Score Bloomsburg, Pa. - A Javel Dawkins penalty kick in the 63rd minute (62:36) provided the Georgian Court University men's soccer squad a lead it would not relinquish as the Lions escaped Bloomsburg University with a thrilling 1-0 non-conference victory.

The win marks the 50th career triumph for Georgian Court's Dino Raso. Raso, in his seventh season as an NCAA Division II head coach, owns a career record of 50-49-11. The 2016 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) champion has a mark of 29-37-8 since joining GCU in 2013.

Georgian Court (1-0-1) and the host-Huskies (0-1) both attempted 10 shots on the night, including three apiece on frame.

Goalkeeper Yianni Kavarakas registered his second straight shutout for GCU to start the season as the sophomore gathered three saves in the GCU win.

The Lions take Saturday off before hitting the road on Sunday for a 12:00 p.m. visit to West Chester University.
