RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Bowie State University women's basketball got back to their winning ways on Saturday (12/9) afternoon and steamrolled Felician University by a score of 78-48 in Job Gymnasium. The Bulldogs are now 5-0 all-time versus the Goldens Falcons.

Sade Chatman (Minneapolis, Minn.) paced Bowie State with 16 and 15 points respectively. Redshirt junior

Ty-Nita Baker (Houston, Miss.) contributed 10 points for the Bulldogs. Chatman and sophomore
Kyaja Williams (Baltimore, Md.) pulled down six rebounds each to lead Bowie State on the glass.
Bowie State (7-2) began the game with an 13-0 advantage over the first 7:40 of the contest and made 7-of-17 first quarter field goals, which included 4-of-9 behind the 3-point line.
Kameron Stone (Bronx, N.Y.) was Felician's lone bright spot in the first quarter, scoring all six of the teams' points but trailed Bowie State 22-6.
The Bulldogs kept their foot on the gas, extending its lead to 39-13 by halftime. Bowie State ran off 12 unanswered points before Felician's Treanda Foster (Bronx, N.Y.) stopped the run with a layup with 1:33 left in the first half.
Bowie State shot 33 percent from the field (12-of-36) in the first 20 minutes compared to 19 percent (4-of-21) for Felician. Of Bowie State's 12 first half field goals, seven came beyond the arc.
The Golden Falcons began the third quarter with a 9-2 run to cut the Bulldogs lead to 41-22 with 6:20 to go.
A 3-pointer by senior
Lisa Jing (Laurel, Md.) at the 1:32 mark push the Bowie State lead back to 20 (50-30) and held a 52-32 advantage after three quarters of play.
Bowie State continued to shoot the ball well in the third quarter (5-of-12) but so did Felician as the Golden Falcons made 7-of-18 from the field.
The Bulldogs lead grew to 67-48 midway through the fourth quarter, allowing Bowie State to go deep down their bench for the remainder of the game.
Felician (3-5) was led offensively by Stone and Bionca Chambers (New Milford, N.J.) with 14 and nine points respectively.
The Bowie State Bulldogs open conference play on Saturday (December 16th), making its first CIAA southern division stop at Johnson C. Smith University. Tip time for the Bulldogs and Golden Bulls is 2 p.m. in Brayboy Gymnasium.
