ORANGEBURG, N.Y. – The Bears traveled to take on the Chargers of Dominican College and walked away with a quick 3-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) victory Friday evening at the Hennessy Center. Bloomfield improved their overall record to 11-10 for the year and scored their fifth straight league win to move to 8-2 in conference play while the home squad fell to 4-15 on the year with a 3-7 mark in CACC contests.
Junior
Paola Noble (Toa Alto, P.R.) had a solid evening as she registered 11 digs and a team-high, 10 kills for the Bears. Senior
Nayade Paulino (Paterson, N.J.) chipped in 9 kills to go along with 2 blocks while classmates
Jacquelyn Madlock (Alta Loma, Calif.) and
Edmarie Freytes (San Juan, P.R.) continued to pace the Bloomfield offense with 16 and 12 assists respectively.
Samantha Rios (Juncos, P.R.) added a game-high 14 digs and scored a service ace for the visiting Bears.
Bloomfield will return to the gym for homecoming tomorrow afternoon for another CACC showdown as Wilmington University comes calling. The Bears are set to play a 1:00 pm match with the Wildcats and look to push their league winning-streak to six games.
