BLOOMFIELD, NJ – The Bloomfield College men's basketball team kept their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) record unblemished Tuesday evening with an, 81-58 win over visiting Post University. The Eagles fell to 5-12 overall and 4-5 in conference match ups while the Bears improved to 14-3 on the year and a perfect 9-0 in league battles.
 
Nick Davidson (Lumberton, NJ) and Keith Washington (Philadelphia, PA) led the home team's offense with each shooting 11 shots. Davidson finished the night with a team-high, 20 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field and Washington added 16 points on 5-of-11 shooting including 4-of-9 from long range. Junior transfer, Jericho Cherisma (Brooklyn, NY) had a career day on the boards with 11 rebounds, 7 of them on the defensive glass and added 8 points, 2 assists, a steal and a block for the Bears.
 
Bloomfield took the first ten minutes of the 1^st half to settle into the game and the Eagles took advantage, moving out to an, 18-14 lead. The Bears dug in and clawed out a 20-3 run over the next five minutes to cool off the Post attack. Bloomfield went into the halftime intermission up, 40-33 with Davidson and Washington combining for 19 opening half points.
 
In the second period, the home team stepped up their defense and held the Eagles to just 26.7 percent (8-of-30) shooting from the floor. Davidson poured in 11 points in the 2^nd half and along with Cherisma, who scored all 8 of his points in the final frame, closed the door on Post's chances for a comeback.
 
Bloomfield's next challenge will be Saturday when they host Chestnut Hill College. The Griffins are coming off a win against a regionally ranked opponent and set their sights on the Bears who have never lost to Chestnut Hill since joining the NCAA Division II in 2004. Tip-off is set for 3:00 pm in The Den.
