Box Score BLOOMFIELD, N.J. - The Bloomfield College Bears women's soccer team earned their first win of the season with a 2-0 decision over visiting Concordia College in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action at Foley Field. The Bears improve to 1-8 on the year while dropping the Clippers to 0-5-1 with the loss. The win marks the first victory in the collegiate coaching career of first-year head coach,Christian Raigoza.

The Bears scoring would all come in the first half as junior Paola Ramos (North Bergen, N.J.) opened up the action from just outside the box on a feed from Dani Andreas (Jackson, N.J.) in the 9th minute of play. The goal, Ramos' first of the year put Bloomfield ahead 1-0. With less than a minute to go in the half, Andreas would find the net on a header off a corner kick by Ashley Nolan (Burlington, N.J.) and the Bears enjoyed a 2-0 lead at the break.

That proved to be all Bloomfield would need as the offensive attack kept the Clippers on their heels for most of the match. The Bears commanded a 28-12 advantage in shots on the night and held a 6-1 edge in corner kicks. Sophomore goalkeeper Diana Vincentini (Lacey TWP, N.J.) saved 7 shots to preserve Bloomfield's first shutout of the season. The Bears return to action this Saturday, October 4th with a road contest against NSCAA 16th ranked East Stroudsburg University. Kickoff is set for 2:00pm in East Stroudsburg, P.A.
