BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – The Bloomfield College Bears men's tennis team fell to the sixth-ranked Concordia Clippers in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) 9-0 on Monday afternoon at the Meyers Tennis Center.
 
In doubles action the pairing of Vadim Kustov (Krasnodar, Russia) and Thulani Hove (Highland Park, N.J.) fell to freshman Jui Mao (Taipei, Taiwan) and junior Ofir Ginat (Raa'nana, Israel) by the score of 8-2. The No. 3 matchup of Nikola Seles (Belgrade, Serbia) and Ville Heikkilae (Lohja, Finland) also fell by an 8-2 result at the hands of junior Rafael Ferreira (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and senior Juuso Ojanen (Varkaus, Finland).  Shimarhi Shuler (Riverside, C.A.) and Adam Carter (Somerdale, N.J.) were shutout, 8-0 at the No. 2 doubles spot by senior Benas Majauskas (Vilnius, Lithuania) and junior Lorenzo Montegiorgi (Velletri, Italy). The Clippers took a 3-0 lead into singles play.
 
Seles and Carter both fell 6-0, 6-0 in their singles matches in the No. 4 and No. 6 matches respectively. Shuler dropped a 6-0, 6-1 decision to senior Tomasz Olfans (Opole, Poland) in the No. 5 match while Hove also lost a 6-0, 6-1 match against Majauskas in the No. 2 singles spot. Kustov fell 6-0, 6-2 in the No. 1 match against Mao and Heikkilae was defeated in the No. 3 slot against Montegiorgi 6-0, 6-2.
 
The Bears (2-5, 0-4 CACC) take a day off and are back on the courts Wednesday to host West Chester University of Pennsylvania at Brookdale Park with a start time of 3:00pm.
