LAKEWOOD, N.J. –
Mariah Frazier (Port Angles, W.A.) hit a solo homerun in the her first at-bat but it was not enough as the #3 seeded, Wilmington University Wildcats came back to defeat the Bloomfield College Bears, 10-5 in a halted game on Thursday evening due to rain and resumed Friday morning during the 2016 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Softball Championships played on the campus of Georgian Court University.
The first lost for the Bears in the double-elimination tournament dropped their record to 23-22 on the season. Bloomfield will now take on #8 seeded, Felician University in an elimination game for the right to move on in the tournament. Wilmington improved to 29-21 with the win and advance to face the #4 seed, Holy Family in the CACC Tournament at 1:00 pm.
