Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

CAREER-HIGH DOUBLE-DOUBLE FROM GREEN SPARKS BEARS, 95-88 COMEBACK WIN ON THE ROAD

WILMINGTON, DEL – The Bears men's basketball team clawed back from a 19-point 1st half deficit to score a, 95-88 victory on the road against Goldey-Beacom College (GBC) Saturday afternoon. Bloomfield used a balanced attack in the final period to protect their unbeaten streak in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) competition and improved to 8-0 in league play and 13-3 overall.

The Lightning (9-7, 5-2 CACC) struck first as they opened the game with a 16-5 advantage and later extended to a 19-point lead (30-11) with 8:53 to play in the half. Bloomfield's offense was stagnant, going 5-for-22 from the floor, while Goldey-Beacom seemed to be clicking on all cylinders. The visitors chiseled away at their deficit and cut it all the way down to 43-40 before a last second three-pointer sent Goldey-Beacom into the locker room up by six.

Senior Nick Davidson (Lumberton, NJ) and junior transfer Kavione Green (Amityville, NY) combined for 28 points in the first half and lifted the Bloomfield offense. The Bears also enjoyed seventeen second-chance points in the opening frame.

The visitors wasted no time and evened the game up at 46 with the first six points in the 2nd half. The Lightning responded with a 10-1 strike but Bloomfield remained calm and continued to battle. The Bears tied up the contest at the 7:23 minute mark and then out-paced the Lightning down the stretch to remain perfect in CACC action.

Green finished the day with a career-performance double-double, 30 points on 12-of-16 shooting from the field, including 3-for-3 from beyond the arc to go along with 10 rebounds. Davidson ended the day with an efficient 24 points on 7-of-16 shooting and a blistering 10-of-11 from the charity stripe. Keith Washington (Philadelphia, PA) chipped in 19 points to round out Bloomfield's top scorers.

Next up for the Bears, they host the Eagles on Tuesday at The Den. Post comes into town for a 7:30 pm CACC showdown with Bloomfield and a their second game against the league's lone unbeaten team.
