Lauren Nunes both scored three goals as East Stroudsburg University picked up its first women's lacrosse win of the season, outlasting Chestnut Hill for a 12-9 non-conference win on Thursday afternoon.

Amanda Simms had 13 saves in goal for ESU, which held a 33-26 advantage in shots.
Brianne Timony scored four goals for Chestnut Hill (2-6) and gave her team a 5-4 lead with 21:25 left. ESU scored the next four – from Miller, Powell and two by Nunes – to open an 8-5 lead with just under 18 minutes left.
After Chestnut Hill got within 9-8 at the 10-minute mark, Miller scored twice to keep the Warriors in front and Kochey scored with 5:05 left to make it 12-8. Chestnut Hill scored the game's final goal with 45 seconds left.
ESU, which dropped its PSAC opener at Kutztown (9-6) on Tuesday, returns to conference action this weekend with a trip to Gannon on Saturday.
