BLOOMFIELD, NJ – Keith Washington (Philadelphia, PA) turned in a 28-point performance on 12-of-19 shooting from the field to lead the Bloomfield College men's basketball team to an, 81-64 win over USciences Wednesday evening. The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) victory at The Den marked the Bears 5^th straight and improved their overall record to 12-3 with a perfect 7-0 record in league play.
 
The Devils (9-6, 5-2 CACC) battled back and forth with the home team after Washington scored the first five points of the game. Bloomfield opened up an 8-point advantage in the first half (36-28) before settling for a 36-30 lead at the halftime intermission. Washington poured in 16 points in the opening frame and the only undefeated team in the CACC shot 42.1 percent from the floor (16-38).
 
The second half belonged to the Bears with captains Marcus Fleming (Linden, NJ) and Nick Davidson (Lumberton, NJ) combining for 17 points to put USciences down by as-many-as 18 (77-59) in the period. Fleming and Davidson finished the evening with 12 and 10 points respectively to join Washington in double-figures.
 
Bloomfield sets their sights on the next challenge when they travel to Wilmington, Del. to square off with Goldey-Beacom College. The Lightning roll out the welcome mat for a 3:00 pm CACC battle at the Joseph West Jones College Center.
