PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Bears continued to roll in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play as they won their eighth consecutive league battle fueled by a season-high 29 points from senior guard,
Tianna Smith (Spring Valley, N.Y.). The, 74-55 victory over the Tigers of Holy Family University on the road at the Campus Center Gym Saturday afternoon featured team-highs in field goal percentage (56.4) and field goals made (31).
Zhane Robinson (Newark, N.J.) also chipped in 16 points to the Bloomfield offensive onslaught and shot 7-for-11 from the field.

How It Happened
- Smith was on fire from the outset of the contest, pouring 11 points in the 1st quarter on 4-of-6 shooting from the field, which included a perfect 3-for-3 from beyond the arc. Bloomfield raced out to a 22-15 lead after the opening quarter of play
- Smith continued her lights out shooting in the 2nd quarter and after she buried back-to-back three-pointers with 6:04 on the clock Bloomfield enjoyed a 16-point advantage (36-20) prompting a Tigers timeout.
- Robinson drained back-to-back buckets and the Bears extended to a 40-20 lead before settling at the half for a 42-24 advantage. At one point in the 2nd period, the road team was shooting 63.0 percent from the floor as Bloomfield was well in control heading into the locker room
- The home team gained a little ground in the third frame, outscoring the Bears 18-13 but Bloomfield returned the favor in the final period, putting up a 19-13 split to secure the CACC win
- Senior point guard Morgan Taylor (Paterson, N.J) had her stamp on the game as well dishing out a season-high 7 assists to go along with 3-of-6 shooting from the field
Up Next: Bloomfield will close out their four-game CACC road trip when they visit Post University on Tuesday for a 5:30 pm showdown. The Eagles and Bears meet for the second time this season after the CACC North Division's top team handed Post a 77-46 loss back on November 22, 2016
