Sophomore guard Nicole Angelo (Mount Laurel, NJ/Camden Catholic) helped the Cougars get back in the game with a pair of threes, combined with a basket from Anderson that brought Caldwell within three, 27-24 with 17 minutes remaining. The lead was five, 35-30 with 9:32 on the clock when Bloomfield scored the next eight points, including a three from Ariel Wilson and a conventional three-point play by Ivettlis Castro, that gave the Lady Deacons a 43-30 advantage with 6:15 to play. Caldwell wasn't able to get any closer than 11 points the rest of the way, as the Cougars fell in the CACC finals for the second year in a row.

Caldwell improved its shooting in the second half, hitting 52.6 percent compared to 29.4 percent after halftime. But the Cougars made 8-of-16 from the free throw line and committed 24 turnovers for the game.
