Assistant Commissioner
Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference

Title: Assistant Commissioner Supervisor: Commissioner

POSITION SUMMARY

The Assistant Commissioner will assist with the overall organization and management of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference in accordance with NCAA and CACC policies, rules and regulations to include, but are not limited to, serving as Student-Athlete Advisory Council liaison, liaison to numerous CACC committees, sport supervision, budget supervision, administrative responsibilities, and considerable interaction with conference member staffs and student-athletes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Assist the Commissioner with the monitoring of CACC members regarding continuing eligibility and satisfactory progress, transfer requirements, waivers and all initial NCAA Initial Eligibility and Amateurism information.
  2. Create and implement educational and professional development programming.
  3. Work with conference staff to explore creative ways to market the conference to potential new members.
  4. Process NCAA paperwork including NCAA Grant Reports.
  5. Serve as the primary advisor to the CACC Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) and other committees as assigned. Organize and conduct semi-annual meetings.
  6. Evaluate all CACC programs to ensure that the tenants of gender equity are met .
  7. Attend appropriate conference meetings and relevant professional development opportunities.
  8. Maintain the conference budget. Process invoices and prepare checks. Assist with audits.
  9. Supervise conference sponsored sports as assigned by Commissioner. Schedule and conduct coaches call as required.
  10. Assist with CACC post-season event management and at CACC events designated by the Commissioner. Meet, greet, manage and close.
  11. Assist with the creation of conference schedules for approval by the Directors Council.
  12. Attend to all other duties as assigned by the Commissioner

1.) Experience in intercollegiate athletics as an administrator and/or coach.

2.) Strong interpersonal skill and the ability to work with diverse groups.
