CONGRATUALTIONS TO WILMINGTON UNIVERSITY MEN AND THOMAS JEFFERSON UNIVERSITY WOMEN FOR WINNING THE 2021-22 RESTAINO CUPS

The Alfred R. Restaino, Sr. Cup (formerly called the Commissioner's Cup) is an annual award given to the CACC men's and women's athletic programs that perform the best across the board in conference competition. The point system used for the award takes into account each team's finish in both the CACC regular-season and conference tournament. Each school receives a combined point total, and that total is divided by the number of sports that the institution sponsors. The CACC currently sponsors seven men's sports (Cross Country, Soccer, Basketball, Baseball, Golf, Tennis and Track & Field) and eight women's sports (Cross Country, Soccer, Tennis, Volleyball, Basketball, Lacrosse, Track & Field and Softball).

The award is named after the late Alfred R. Restaino, Sr., who served the CACC for over 34 years as an athletic administrator and coach. Prior to that, he distinguished himself as a student-athlete at CACC-member Bloomfield College. His dedication and vision helped to forge the CACC as it is today. Mr. Restaino passed away on Dec. 30, 2015, and was inducted into the CACC Hall of Fame as part of its inaugural class on April 16, 2016 prior to a Bloomfield baseball doubleheader versus University of the Sciences in Montclair, N.J.

In July, 2012, an Alfred R. Restaino Cup logo was created by Royal Rooster Design.

WILMINGTON UNIVERSITY USED CONFERENCE TITLES FROM MEN'S GOLF AND BASEBALL TO CLAIM THE RESTAINO CUP FOR MEN'S SPORTS DURING THE 2021-22 ATHLETIC SEASON.

THOMAS JEFFERSON UNIVERSITY CLAIMED CONFERENCE TITLES IN WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY, SOCCER AND VOLLEYBALL TO WIN THE RESTAINO CUP FOR WOMEN'S SPORTS IN 2021-22.
