The CACC Award of Distinction was created in 2016 to honor a current coach or administrator at a member school, who has demonstrated outstanding character and class in representing the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference and the league, regional and national level. Each member school can submit a nominee annually and the CACC Hall of Fame Committee is tasked with selecting an honoree. The initial Award of Distinction was presented on Dec. 1, 2016, as legendary Philadelphia University basketball coach Herb Magee was honored for his 50th season at the head of the school's men's program.
